Set in 1930s Paris, The Crime Is Mine is a playful, stylish comedy about two young women—Madeleine, an aspiring actress, and Pauline, her loyal lawyer roommate—who are struggling to survive in a city that doesn’t take them seriously. When a lecherous theatre producer is found murdered, Madeleine becomes the prime suspect.

Sensing an opportunity, the pair decide to lean into the accusation. Madeleine publicly claims she acted in self‑defence, hoping the scandal will launch her career. The plan works a little too well: she becomes a sensation, adored for her supposed bravery.

But just as fame and fortune arrive, an unexpected figure from the past steps forward with a twist that threatens to unravel everything. What follows is a witty battle of egos, secrets, and reinvention—wrapped in a glamorous, old‑Hollywood‑style romp.
