We have a varied and entertaining social programme throughout the year, with many different events in and around Bognor. If you join us, you have the opportunity to visit our twin towns, one in France and two in Germany staying with hosts in their own homes. There is also the opportunity to host visitors from the twin towns in Bognor Regis when they spend a few days here.
You don’t have to speak the languages, as many of our German and French counterparts speak English and would like to improve. You will meet new people and cultivate rewarding friendships at home and abroad. Members receive a regular newsletter about the Twinning Association’s activities.

This is particularly evident in the courthouse under which the access to the main entrance is located and the gable roofs of the various wings of the building. The interior with the meeting room on the upper floor with the original wall paneling and the like. a. is largely preserved in the original.

The pier opened on 5 May 1865 . Initially constructed with a length 305m, it now stands at 107m. A small bandstand was added in 1880, followed by a seaward end pavilion which opened on July 9, 1900. A small landing stage was added in 1903, to allow paddle steamers to dock.. Storm damage in 1964 and 1965 caused the pavilion to sink into the sea. The following decade, after two fires in three months, the pier was closed in December 1974. In 1994 the structure's remaining seaward end was demolished.
